HOW I LIKE BROCCOLI
I like broccoli OK. I eat it whenever it’s placed in front of me, and sometimes I order it in restaurants, but I rarely make it myself. When I do, I like to roast it with garlic, like in the recipe below.
1 bunch broccoli
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
3 cloves sliced garlic
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Toss the broccoli florets with the olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper on a baking sheet. Spread them out and roast them, without stirring, until the edges are crispy and the stems are crisp-tender, about twenty minutes. Serve warm.
